If you like steak then you know the way(s) you like it prepared. While some prefer their steak rare others like it very well done. There’s always the compromise of medium rare. Rare is usually very pink and still pretty raw. If it’s medium rare the steak will have a fully red color inside usually cooked at about 130 F. Well done steaks are cooked at about 160 F making the meat appear gray-brown throughout and slightly charred. Shorter cooking times retain more juice. Longer steak cooking times give you drier tougher meat.

The three ways of cooking a steak that we’ll focus on include: grill, fry and oven roasting. First, you might consider getting a 1-inch thick steak. Anything thicker than this makes it difficult to gauge doneness. It is best to season the meat before actually cooking. It doesn’t matter which cooking style you choose. Just start by sprinkling a good amount of salt and pepper over the meat. You can even rub crushed garlic clove all over the beef for flavor.

Cooking option #1 is to grill. Most meat-lovers seem to really enjoy this method of choice. The barbecue needs to be really hot. Try pouring a little bit of olive oil on a paper towel or a small brush, and rub down the grill slate before laying down the steak. Once your steak is on the grill reduce the heat to about medium and keep your lid down. After about five minutes turn the steak over, then let it cook for about another five minutes on the other side.

Using the second cooking method one basically tosses their beef into a frying pan. The stove should be turned on medium heat. Then warm up a teaspoon of oil for about a minute. Lay the steak in the pan but make sure to turn on the stovetop fan as well as keep the pan covered. If you’re cooking a 1-inch thick steak then you should allow it to cook for about four minutes on each side depending on how you prefer it cooked.

The last method, which is most often used by restaurants, requires just a couple of steps. When you are oven roasting your steak the oven should be preheated to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. A heavy frying pan that is oven-safe is used cook the meat in. Turn the element on high heat and warm up your skillet until it is piping hot. Place a teaspoon of oil in the pan and let it heat up. Using tongs gently put the steak in the pan and sear for a minute and a half on each side. By doing this you can lock in the juices. Next, place the pan in the oven to finish cooking and roast the beef for between six and nine minutes. Choose which method works best for you and enjoy your delicious steak. To make it even better dip or pour some A1 steak sauce over it. It has a great thick taste with a wonderful full of spices and seasonings. A1 offers Original flavor and Zesty.

A BBQ Grill is a must purchase. Grilled food has been a part of family tradition all over the world. This is why it’s vital for you to identify precisely what matters most in a grill.

Your personal preference matters. There are so many different grills to choose from but not every user will have the exact same needs or requirements. To get the most ideal grill for you, you need to consider some factors.

Portability is important for some people. Free standing unit is not applicable to you if you travel a lot. Portable units can be used both at home and on trips so you don’t have to buy two units. The best portable grills are lightweight, compact and easy to set up. Other important qualities to check are grill space and burner efficiency. You would want a portable grill that can cook food fast and evenly for more than two or three people.

Durability is a major concern. This is true regardless of whether you choose a portable or a free standing home unit. Durability is directly related to material strength so you should settle for a grill that is made with sturdy material like stainless steel. If properly maintained, stainless steel can endure for decades. It is rust, stain and corrosion resistant and can endure different weather conditions.

Another quality to consider is reliability. No one likes a BBQ grill that suddenly goes out in the middle of a barbecue party. Reliability is at times related to grill brand quality. Sometimes though, grills are kept reliable by proper maintenance. You have to make sure burners are not clogged and stainless steel cooking plates are properly cleaned. The lack of maintenance can indicate low temperatures and corroded plates.

Reliability can also be linked to fuel source. You can easily run out of fuel if you use a grill with a small gas tank or one that runs on charcoal. You are more likely to enjoy uninterrupted cooking if you settle for a unit that can be permanently attached to your natural gas line. An alternative would be to buy an electric grill. An electric unit is likely to be turned as long as electricity is present.

Grills have to be cleaned regularly. Meaning, that you should get the type of grill that cleaning is just an easy task. This is sometimes related to grill material. Those made of specially coated stainless steel are far easier to clean than other material types. You can also make cleaning an easier task for you by getting a unit with drip pans and grease channels. Any grill that draws away oil and liquids is a step above all the rest.

Choose your grill carefully. Your BBQ grill should match your specific needs and preferences. Find out what you need and want in a grill before you go out shopping. You might be able to get an idea of what matters most in a grill by going through product reviews.

Want the best barbecue to share with family and friends? Read product reviews and product comparisons on the best stainless steel bbq grills in the market and find the best portable gas grills that will fit your family’s outdoor dining needs.

Having a party or celebration in an outdoor venue retains a certain magic. Perhaps it’s the clear view of the sky that you get when you are outside enjoying a good meal with the people that matters the most to you. Below are some ideas that could make that party even more special.

Dining by Candlelight
Why not take a traditional dinner with candlelight in an outdoor venue. Hang some white lights on a tree and put the table under the tree. It creates an instant enchanted look. You can also try putting some torch stands around the garden. So you can hit two birds with one stone, you can try and get the candles that repel insects.

Venue
If you have a nice big garden, it is always nice to take the party there. In case your garden is too small, you can take it to a park, a playground, a rooftop, by the lake or river, or the beach. These venues offer a clear view of the sky, a nice wide open source of air and a really bigger place for people move around and mingle. A wide open space is always equals big happy movements. Just make sure that you have a back up plan just in case the weather does not cooperate. Have a tent or canopy ready or another venue reserved.

What To Do With Insects
Spray the place with insect repellant several hours before the guest arrives and keep it within reach all the time. You can also try the chalk ants repellant that is really effective for ants. Also prepare a mosquito lotion repellant that is enough for everyone. Have different brands and different kinds just in case there are people who have allergies to certain brands.

Pick Up Party
Tell your friends that when and where the party is going to be will be unannounced and you will just show up in their house to pick them up as they are. They cannot dress, cannot take a bath, cannot fix themselves up. They will proceed to the party with you how you found them. The one thing that is exciting is seeing everyone in their most unguarded moments.

Whatever the party theme may be, remember to always be at your brightest best for the party. Your spirit and mood will be carried on by the guests.

If you were to purchase a set of new knives separately, you would find that you would pay far more than if you bought a Henckels Block Set. Even though you pay less for the block set, the quality and durability of Henckels knife remains in tack. If you been buying your kitchen tools at Walmart or Kmart, then it’s time to upgrade to the Henckels line of cutlery.

A Henckels block set will supply you with all of the basic knives needed to perform the variety of tasks that you might be counting on a single knife for right now. If you care about cooking and the results you get, then a quality set of knives is essential in order to get the results you want. You might be surprised to learn the difference that the right cutlery can make. From the strength of the blade to the comfort of the handles, you will find that the difference in quality is evident from the first slice you make.

Henckels block sets come in 7,8,11,13 and 18 pieces, designed to meet your individual needs. The easy, accessible way to keep your new knives organized and protected is with the hardwood block that each set comes with. You can keep your knives perfectly honed by choosing a set that includes a sharpening steel or by purchasing one separately. When a knife is not the appropriate tool, most sets include a pair of kitchen shears.

After your purchase, you may find that a different knife is required, and you can always add individual pieces. Purchasing a block set from Henckels gives you the advantage of saving money, getting a basic knife set and the freedom to add other pieces at a later date.

I didn’t think that a good set of knives would make a difference in the kitchen until I bought my Henckels Block Set. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to do a better job with less effort. They really fit comfortably in my hand and the cutting procedure is quite smooth. In my new set, I have a pair of kitchen shears that I have learned to appreciate. If you are looking for a quality, durable block set, then I recommend Henckels.

Those who love cooking will positively be assisted from a digital food thermometer. This tool will determine if the food that you are cooking is already cooked well or you need to increase the temperature.

Those who love cooking will positively be assisted from a digital food thermometer. This tool will determine if the food that you are cooking is already cooked well or you need to increase the temperature.

Also, you will be able to use this instrument for establishing whether the cooked food has reached a temperature safe for contamination free consumption. In addition, when food reaches the appropriate temperature it tastes better.

Furthermore, there are numerous forms of digital food thermometer. A few different types of digital thermometers are explained below.

With the use of oven cord thermometers you can actually show you the inside oven temperature without having to open the door. The apparatus comes with a base unit with digital screen which is attached to a thermometer probe. The probe will be inserted to the food while the base which tells you the temperature can be anywhere outside the oven. In reality, you can set a desired temperature and alarm will go off when it has been reached.

In addition, a thermistor style of thermometer is available. This design utilizes a resistor to measure temperature. To measure the temperature you should place the tip in the center of the food.

The thermocouple thermometer is another type. Among the several types of thermometers for food, the thermocouple can provide the quickest temperature reading, for only two to five seconds. The temperature result is displayed on the digital panel.

You can also use a thermometer fork. It combines the advantages of a fork and thermometer all in one. Some types of thermometer forks can give you a temperature reading in as little as two seconds. Display lights or a digital disply will let you easily read the temperature. This will tell you if the food is finished cooking.

All of these digital food thermometers are safe and reliable to help you cook a delicious and safe meal for your family.

Like I have said before, I am no Gourmet Chef or expert on fine Cruise. I do how ever know what I like. Recently Me and a Buddy of mine stopped at the Meson Ole Dinner in Southampton on Long Island in NY, A Mexican and Spanish Restaurant.

Some of you may know I am a Biker, As any Biker knows some times the greetings we get when we walk into a place can be a look of “Oh No” and a half hearted “can I help you?”, Is it right? Well of course not, but that’s a different article. The Greeting We got at Meson Ole was a very warm friendly one and we felt welcomed in.

The Decor of the place was great and you could almost believe you where some where down in Mexico. We where promptly brought over some Nachos and Salsa and some fresh hot Bread and Butter. We ordered a Pitcher of Sangria, A drink I do not believe I have ever had before but I enjoyed none the less!

We ordered a Bunch of food and the Service was pretty fast. Now even the best service means nothing if the food is not good, Well the food was incredible. We ordered a set up where you made your own Pepper Steak Burritos and also a plate of Ham and Cheese Burritos. It was all made to perfection, The Pepper Steak was served in a separate pan and it was still sizzling when it was placed safely on the table ! I could not have been happier with the taste and preparation of the food! While we where enjoying the meal the waiter made sure we where happy at all times. When the Bread was finished more was served to us. We ate so much ran out of Burrito wraps, That is not a complaint because as soon as it was notice more where quickly brought to the Table.

I eat at many places as I really love to eat, But some times I come across a place like the Meson Ole Dinner where I feel I must share the experience with others! I was happy to find out that the Meson Ole has 8 locations across Long Island NY and two in Naples Florida (That’s a bit of a big jump in the Chains Locations) Good food can sometimes be hard to find, Both Great Food and Great service at one place can be almost imposable to find these days! So If you are a fan of Mexican and Spanish Cuisine check out the Meson Ole Dinners in the Long Island NY area or when you are near Naples, Florida and let me know what you think of them.

Not too long ago, a famous pop star caused a minor stir when he suggested that one step everyone could take towards helping the environment would be to abstain from meat for one day a week. That’s all he asked – that we adopt a low fat vegetarian diet for a single day out of the week. A few papers took him seriously, but most of them just laughed.

What the media almost universally overlooked was the truth behind his words. If everyone understood the facts about vegetarianism, they would understand why so many people have given up meat eating and felt better for it. Let’s take a cold, hard look at meat eating from a vegetarian’s point of view.

Looking at the subject from an environmental standpoint, there are a number of reasons to turn away from eating meat on the scale most consume it, especially beef. Raising beef cattle requires enormous amounts of arable land that could produce far more nutritional food than the cattle can. This is a fact established by hard data that no one can truthfully deny.

If you have a very strong stomach, pay a visit to a meat processing plant. These are all located far away from large populations for a reason. They smell so bad, they literally make people sick. Those who are unfortunate enough to have to work in the plants or live nearby them have a higher than average incidence of a number of health complaints.

If you do manage to get inside and see what beef processing involves, you literally may end up having nightmares. There is nothing remotely humane about the mass slaughter of these animals. OK, technically this is not an environmental concern, but it is certainly an ethical one. Those pretty packages of beef you see on the supermarket shelf won’t look the same to you after you have seen how they were made to get that way. You won’t be laughing about a vegetarian diet any more, that’s for sure!

Bear in mind that the cattle industry wants you to buy their product and will tell you anything to get you to buy it. They will tell you that you need the protein. Yes, you do need a certain amount of protein in your diet, but not that much protein and not that kind of protein. While a strong argument can be made for an occasional serving of meat, so many consume far too much and it is a proven contributor to innumerable diseases.

Those who have given up meat and taken up a high protein vegetarian diet rarely feel the need to go back to eating meat. While some do go back to occasional servings of meat, they almost never go back to consuming it in large quantities. Why should they? They feel healthier and happier than they did before.

The two largest religions in the world, Buddhism and Hinduism, both advocate a total abstinence from meat eating. Interestingly enough, all the other major religions, including Catholicism, Judaism, and the Muslim faith advocate abstinence from meat during certain religious holidays. Why is it that only the cattle industry advocates a strict meat eating diet?

A vegetarian diet meal plan is no laughing matter. Give this a little credit for trying to open people’s eyes to the low carb vegetarian diet.

When you are preparing you’re wedding you are going to need to find an event photographer. They should be motivated, have good experience and communication and most likely they will have their own style. A skilled event photographer will only posses these qualities through experience, so making sure that they are well trained and can focus on what you want is important.

There are different styles for every event photographer. Your ideas about your wedding should coincide with the photographer’s style. If you don’t you could up with a horrible experience. Depending on the style that your event photographer will use will differ. Traditional and wild are two extreme styles of photographers. Classic photographs will consist of those of the bride herself, the groom himself, the bride and groom together, the wedding party, and everyone all together. Wild styles can be anywhere from being completely serious in all of the photographs to making funny faces.

When choosing an event photographer you will need one who is highly ambitious. You do not want to have someone who is lazy and sitting around missing all the good pictures they could be capturing. Motivation isn’t just about doing the job, but enjoying it and communicating are also involved.

Over time is the only way an event photographer will gain experience. Make sure you ask your photographer how long they have been in the business, where they went to school and for how long, and who they were employed with before they went into business for themselves (if that is the case). Asking these questions can help you make a better decision when picking an event photographer. If they are now employed by themselves you can find out what kind of quality they produced when they were employed by asking their previous employer. It may be a devious way of getting information but it is better to find out then to have awful photographs produced.

Being relaxed around your event photographer will make things go smother. And they should try to make you feel comfortable and relaxed when around them. Later on at the wedding, this will help them to capture the precious photos. If you are nervous around your event photographer you will see that feeling in your wedding photos.
