List Building – It’s All About You Not Your Product! Find Out Why!

A very large majority of people that enter the world of Internet Marketing fail; I will share with you the main reason behind this and how you can avoid failure by building a list you can sell to.

The main reason so many people fail is because the pursue people like crazy. They are new to the Internet Marketing Industry and are desperate to make their first sale they put off people form buying their product with their in your face sell tactics that come across as spamming!

By only going on about your product and how good it is you will come across as a desperate salesman. This makes you look unprofessional and it will put people off from wanting to hear any more from you. You build a list by giving people a reason to hear more from yourself; this is not done by shouting about how good your product is.

So about now you’re probably wandering how do you do from a desperate broke person to a person that attracts leads and has people calling you up without having to chase anybody….well here you go:

First of all forget the idea of chasing people or targeting people because you need their money; even if you are broke do not let it show!

You do this by branding yourself as a leader within you market! This is done by giving valuable information relating to your market and product niche. This comes in the form of several marketing techniques; articles, blogs, videos etc. Even if you have only been involved within your market for a month you still know a lot more than a person who is only interested in your market.

Therefore you can gain status and become a leader by teaching people about your market. Think about it, if a guy has done a video about a niche in internet marketing what would you think of that person? You will look up to him because he’s done a video on internet marketing so he must be a pro, you will want to hear more from this guy as he know his stuff and can help you out.

By branding yourself rather than your product people will want to hear more from you and will be willing to provide you their details (email address etc) in order to find out more about yourself. This is exactly how list building works. It might seem easy as pie and it is, however so many Internet Marketers do not do this, instead they use sell,sell,sell tactics that do not attract anyone!

People will want to hear more from you because it’s human nature for everyone who isn’t a leader (prospects) to want to join someone who is (you) as you can provide them with help, support and advice that they need. The reason I have such knowledge in Internet Marketing is because my mentor was a successful Internet Marketer that shared his knowledge with me.

If you give valuable information and deliver it with confidence people will look up to you and want to do join you business/buy your product. This is the key to list building.
